I don't know about you guys, but I'm pretty certain I'd never invest in my area. Way too much supply for the amount of demand. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how it seems. I also feel like high turnover rates near military bases would/could be a bad thing?? Maybe someone has more experience on that topic, if so, I'd love to hear it.  

Also, if anyone knows about town life in general, i.e., if the only thing really driving the economy of the town/city is the base, is that bad due to the possibility of the base closing, etc

Anyway, not exactly on topic sorry, not trying to hijack the thread, but those are the things I think about when thinking about investing in a military town.

Definitely in for later on this. This is the kind of stuff I need. I've been doing a bunch of reading, but somehow everything still seems sort of nebulous to me. Thanks for the post, it was long, but good.
