Thanks to everyone so much for their help.  I think for now I will not go with one of those gurus.  Maybe just take my time to get an education on my own and decide from there.

About 10 years ago I took a real estate course from Russ Whitney.  It was an overpriced pitch session.  I figured they all were and that was the end of my real estate ventures.  A friend of mine is a real estate broker and suggested I look into it.  I found the Phil Pustejovsky Freedom Mentor program which seems unique but I am reading a lot of interesting feedback.  The Ultimate Beginner's Guide seems like a great free resource.  I'm going to start reading that tonight.

Anyone who can offer any help to someone new as can be would be greatly appreciated.  I am debating whether or not I want to invest in real estate or get my license.
