I was just talking to a CPA about setting up an LLC to hold my investment property. He cautioned me of this approach (although he thinks it makes sense from asset protection stand point) lenders may not give me mortgage. Since so many of you out there holding investment properties in LLCs, there must be a way. Any tips?

Actually, I am normaly the kind of person who aims much higher than just a "safe investment". However, at this stage I am little discouraged. I have been looking out for my first investment property since September and I still have not come across ANYTHING that remotely looks promising :cry: So I decided to lower my bar, and try to overachieve it :wink:

Hello, I have been reading various postings for a while, and this is perhaps my second posting, if I recall correctly. I am pretty new to the forum, and am new to real estate investing. This forum has been invaluable source of knowledge about real estate investing. congratulations to all the brains behind this. Well, happy new year to everyone. My new year resolution is to buy at least one investment property this year. I will rely heavily on this forum to educate myself :lol:

Have you checked out Ripoff Report website for the experience of other customers? it is not only about Robert Allen, but for other so called real estate gurus and their products, the same can be said. I would like to think that for every course material on offer, there is something to be learnt, as long as one keeps open minded and not expecting "get rick quick" formula, but what others have to say about these informacials are also useful to get a sense of what I am getting into.
