Richard Low I believe he has closed the Academy due to the amount of time he gives to each person who joins. I think I remember him saying he opens it every 6 months and brings in another 50 people. I could be wrong on this. Sounds like David has joined the academy and can better inform us on what exactly goes on inside.

This is an awesome thread David.

It sounds like we are on the exact same path when it comes to our investing. I have listened to the same podcasts and I'm just finishing up Think and Grow Rich. I will be starting with bandit signs in the next few weeks along with getting an absentee and pre foreclosure list from list source which I will use to start my yellow letter campaign.

I love listening to the flip2freedom podcast. He seems like a genuine guy. I don't know if he would be considered a guru but even gurus have beneficial advice sprinkled into their sales pitch. I don't think this is the case with Sean Terry but I could be wrong.

Definitely keep us posted with your progress as will I with mine.

P.S. How is the Flip 2 Freedom Academy? Would you recommend it?

Thanks for the welcome James.

After reading many post dealing with Wholesaling on the forums I feel like I may get grouped into the "get rich quick wholesaler". I will confess that I did get the idea from the "gurus" but I did not expect it to be an easy way to make money. I do understand that it is a lot of work. With my wife's experience and knowledge of the local market, I feel that I have an advantage over other new wholesalers. I also would like to mention that I have many friends in the local real estate market and even a few family members that are contractors that I will be able to bounce rehab cost off of.

I really looked forward to meeting many new people on BP and would love to be able to work with some in the future.

My name is Jason Blanchard and I am new to Real Estate investing. I will be buying and selling out of the Greater New Orleans area. I have little experience in real estate besides buying my first home and I wish I knew what I know now back then. My better half has a much more significant understanding of the real estate world. In her past she has been a real estate agent, worked for a title company, property manager for 100+ apartment complex, lease admin for a corporate property management firm and a residential/commercial marketing researcher for the same property management company. Needless to say I will be relying heavily on her in the upcoming months. For now she is staying at home and raising our newborn son.

I currently work for a small telecommunication company installing telephone and data systems for small/medium business.

I plan on starting at wholesaling local properties and building a better understanding of how exactly the real estate world works and a larger cash pool in order to invest in buy and holds for passive cash flow. The goal of course is to not have to work a 9-5 and be able to spend more time with my new family.

I would like to meet other like minded people and build a nice size buyers list in order to quickly close on my wholesale deals. I have not seen many wholesalers advertising in the New Orleans area and none in my direct vicinity of Mandeville, LA. So my competition should be small which will result in greater deals for anyone investing in my properties.
