Post: House Hacking in Tampa/St. Pete

I am looking to move to the Tampa/St. Pete area soon and want to house hack. I have looking around the USF and downtown Tampa areas, but I am open to wherever in the general Tampa, or outer areas, that will generate a good rent for rent by the room strategy. Are there suggestions on what specific areas to look and what I should expect to be able to charge per room? Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I am thinking about house hacking in the Duck/Corolla/Kitty Hawk area. From the research I have done it seems like there is a high demand for places for locals to rent, but little supply. Do you know anyone who has rented out by the room? And a estimate on what type of rents that could be charged for nice house in this area?
