Joshua
I posted “ Private lender needed by Monday, Sept 29 to fund this deal!†in the “ Make Deals, Find Partners, Mentors & BirdDogs, etc. section on Friday September 26. I have looked all over the site for the post since Saturday and was unable to find it. I checked under relevant sections such as Bankers, Lenders, and Mortgage Brokers, Private & Conventional Lending Discussion, Creative Real Estate Financing etc. I even checked “my posts†. I saw the title of the post but when I clicked on the actual link, it just took me back to the main forum page. I did see the title of the post under recent postings on the front page of the web site sometime on Friday.

I wanted to know.. was the post removed? Did I violate some forum rule? Please let me know so I am a little more cognizant of the requirements next time I post.
Thanks

I'll have to say, time management is my biggest road block. The free time I have outside my job is never used efficiently. I engage in busy work that doesn't move me closer to being a seasoned real estate investor. I realize that a lot of the procrastination through busy but non essential work has to do with fear of the unknown. I am very concerned about re-inventing the wheels and not doing REI efficiently.

Tips on how to organize time and effort will be quite beneficial.

Lately, my strategy to overcome some of these limitations has been to start working on REI at 4am as I am the most focused anytime before Noon. I do anything from networking online, planning out my farming routes to finding more REI networking events to attend. Come day break, I do my drive through target neighborhood… .

As I’m looking at wholesaling strategies right now, any tips on time management and organizing will be beneficial to me. Thanks for starting this post RichUrbanFL.

Thanks for the shout out Ryan. I am actually in the Evergreen Park area, right next to Oaklawn. But Chicago is always a quick default in terms of area. Sounds like you’re right where the action is Wrigley Field.

I joined the real estate investment club that meets in the downtown area (Jackson more specifically). I am looking forward to meeting my future business partners there.

What type of real estate investing do you specialize in? Do you find the investment clubs helpful as an area to network? I’ve heard that investment clubs are full of first timers?

I just started actively looking into real estate investing in March of 08. I’ve thought about real estate investing off an on for over a year now. This past month, I started studying and joined a couple of real estate investment clubs with the plan to do my first deal in this month of May.

I am a registered nurse by trade. My profession gives me much flexibility in terms of scheduling. I have decided to commit most of my time to doing real estate investments as a vehicle to move out of full time RN work. My goal is to master a couple of real estate strategies by the year’s end.

I am excited to be part of this forum, as I’ve already picked up a bunch of useful information without having done a deal yet. I’m dropping the books and going out in search of deals and mentors in the area who won’t mind going in on a couple of wholesale deals with me. I’ll tell you how my initiation into the real estate world goes at the end of May
