Probably not termites. Looks like standard rot around base of a door. If you can pull off a piece of trim and replace it during inspection you can tell better. You will see soil in the actual walls. I just bought a house rant previously had termites. You can also be 100% sure by removing drywall up to 18"-24" and looking for tunnels. If there is a lot of soil to structure contact that is a site of potential exposure. They can also get inviable foundation cracks. Generally termites in the Austin area in my experience are lazy -- i.e. They eat the easier to digest poet of drywall. Even houses that have had termite infestations generally don't have a ton of wood damage compared to other climates
