Hello All:

This is my first post on BP, so bear with me.

I am putting together a cost benefit analysis for single family rental properties. I would like to estimate financing costs from the mortgage (fees, title seach, etc) but I do no have a lot of practical experience here.

For those that do, is it reasonable to estimate financing costs as a percentage of the loan amount? If so, what percentage?

Thanks.

Austin

Hello All:

I am a new member to BiggerPockets from central Oklahoma. I'm 30 years old and work in the Aerospace industry. BiggerPockets was recommended from a friend of mine with a similar interest in REI in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.

I am just beginning to explore REI as a vehicle to build long term wealth with the goal of retiring earlier than if I simply stayed at my F/T position. I have a technical and business education but do not have the practical experience in the REI field.

I am hoping to learn a great deal on this site. Please, if there are any members from Oklahoma, contact me and perhaps we can meet one weekend.

Regards,
Austin
