@Raymond Temprano you’re right about those NJ property taxes. I am also interested in Easton, planning to buy in 2021.

The weird thing about Easton is that they sell Twin homes, which is just one half of the building. I would like to be able to purchase both halves at once if the opportunity presents itself.

@Mark J.

I do not currently own and properties. I live and work in the Bridgewater NJ area for now.

This year has been unpredictable so far. I have had my eyes on the Easton area but I will see how things play out. I am willing to wait until the “smoke clears” and then reassess.

@Philip Koller

Welcome! Do let us know where you decide to invest. I am kind of bummed out with this pandemic keeping us inside. Lenders are also raising lending requirements I hear. I have not pre qualified for any financing yet, so I’m not sure if that will impact me.

@Jeffrey De Los Santos

That’s great, congratulations on finding your first property. I’m rooting for you on finding good tenants.

If you don’t mind me asking, which method did you use to finance it?

@Jeffrey De Los Santos thanks for your detailed response, exactly what I was looking for! That's good that you know the ins and outs of this area, I will definitely reach out with any questions. What resources are you using to find properties in Easton, just the MLS or anything else?

@Keith Tickle Thanks for your input and good luck on finding your first deal. Are you looking into something owner occupied or purely an investment property? I would like to take advantage of the lower rates and simpler lending requirements of an owner occupied for my first property. I've noticed most listings are for single family properties.

@Christian D. thanks for replying. I noticed you are a broker, do you have listings up for properties in the Easton area?

@Bob Holland

Thanks for your input. It is appreciated!

From my trips around the city I have the same observations. Knowing you feel safe gives me some extra assurance. I have not ventured to the South Side yet, I will keep that in mind.

Best regards

@Bob Holland

I just want to also welcome you to the Bigger Pockets forums! I don’t own any properties yet but I am looking into the Lehigh Valley. I plan to purchase something in the Easton area.

I am still in the stage of analyzing listings that I see online. I am hopeful that there will be deals out there. What kind of properties do you own? SFH, MFH?

Welcome again.

@Vivian Killin I also created a company page just for testing things out. Can you delete that whole company profile for me as well?

Thanks!

@Kyle Curtin

I am also planning to get started in Real Estate with a house hack. I was thinking about picking up Craig Curelop’s book, how do you like it so far? What did you find most helpful about it?
