Hey everyone. I just posted my first apartment for rent. I’m using TurboTenant for property managing and my first applicant is traveling from Ca->Pa and has no proof of income, but her husband is applying as well and she said he’s the one with the income. Is this typically a situation you guys would be on the fence about? I’m feeling pretty skeptical. Like I said this is my first apartment, my first property, and I don’t want to get a bad tenant that won’t pay rent.b no

I'm in Lock Haven, Pa and, in my area, there are no REI meetups, Real Estate clubs, or anything of the sorts. So I've decided to try and start my own. As a rookie. With no deals to my name. Yet.

So, what I’m looking for is some advice on how to go about structuring one. As I said, I don’t have any deals yet, so I can’t really start off talking about or showcasing any. I’ve also never been to one so I’m not sure how they run.

Hey everyone, rookie here.

I’m working on finding my first double I can house hack and add some value to with my boyfriend. I found one that was built in 1912 that has knob and tube wiring and some exposed updated wiring. We haven’t put it under contract and had and inspection yet but the electrical seems to be the biggest issue. I was looking for some people’s experience with updating electrical in their rentals and maybe some ideas on the cost. And information would be greatly appreciated!
