Thank you. Any idea if Salem or Corvallis are good locations?

Thanks

I live in Portland, Oregon and would like to buy a multi family unit (5+). I have a lot to learn and time is a constraint since I work full time and long hours and have two young kids.

I would like to keep my job at least till I can prove that I can do it.

Not sure though if Portland is a good market for investing right now? I feel that given my time limitations looking outside the state is even more time demanding and risky?

Should I look in Portland and surrounding areas? Is there anybody from Portland that I can connect with and that has experience with real estate in Portland? Anybody has any input about real estate investing in Portland or surrounding areas?
