Hi BP Community!

Unfortunately, a family member isnt doing so well and might not have long. They are planning on passing down to me a few properties held in an LLC. Which profession should I consult to ensure this process goes smoothly?

Hi Bigger Pockets Community!

I'm Arslan, currently a university student about to graduate and (hopefully!) get tech job in Washington State. For the past year or so I've been learning about real estate and looking into getting my first property. Ideally, it will be a fixer which I will fix up and rent out by the room, while living in the ADU/MIL suite/master/ or maybe even finish off the basement.

I’m looking forward to learning more about the buying process, costs/timelines of remodeling, and getting in contact with decent general contractors (anyone got recommendations? Or where to start looking? Have no connections at all in WA ). My companion and I saved up a nice chunk of change, so once that W-2 job kicks in, I'll be looking for properties starting Jan 2022.

In the long run, I aim to become a broker and delve into development, but for now, baby steps :P

Happy to be here, to learn, and connect with the community!

Cheers.
