Post: Best job/career to learn about RE investing

Many (probably most) new investors need to continue working a 9-5 to pay the bills as they build their RE portfolio. My question is this: what jobs would have the greatest added benefit of "on the job training"? My initial thought was working at a property management company or with a developer, but I'm wondering if I'm missing something obvious. Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone, I am a pretty new BP member and have been obsessed with this forum since I stumbled upon it...tons of great information! Thanks to all of you that donate your time and knowledge to help newbies. One question; I currently live in Frederick, MD and have not found any local networking groups. It looks like there is one in Hagerstown and a bunch in Baltimore, but nothing in between. Any advice from my fellow Marylanders? Thanks!
