@Tanner Pile. Hadn't considered converting a SFH into a duplex. Sounds like a plausible option if I don't find something that's already set up to suit a house-hack.

Renting rooms in a SFH is an option but I'd ideally want a set up where I can preserve my privacy!

Hello BP family! I am relatively new to the group and am currently looking for a primary residence I can house-hack in the Houston area. I would prefer to remain inside the 610 loop or maybe just outside on the North, West and Southern sides (I still hear mixed reviews about East of downtown). The traditional MF house-hacking strategy does not seem to work in these areas of the city due to low availability so I am curious to hear what others have done/ or helped people do in order to successfully house-hack. Thanks and I look forward to making connections in this group!
