Chris Mason Joel Owens so there's no rule of thumb or generalizing, depending on the nature of individual transactions one needs to make a decision.

Russell Brazil ya I'll look into some investors around the area to shadow for awhile and connect with brokers

@Russell Brazil great info!! and the best way to find brokers is to read their reviews?

@Russell Brazil never thought of that. So if I want to start in investment, I'll have better chances of getting a good deal through a large mortgage broker for both hard money and conventional funding?

Hey there,

I was wondering if REIs apply to lenders directly or use mortgage brokers? through what I have heard here and there, investors have been applying themselves. Could you list pros and cons of each?

I'd think one of the pros of applying directly to lenders is the power of negotiation based on what you want for your investment.

I'd also think a con for using a mortgage broker is the added expense for the broker.

Thank you in advance.

@Marcus Hendren @John Thedford Cheers!! you guys definitely answered my question. I am about to receive my salesperson license and I was thinking whether to check out some investors and try to reach a deal with them for sales. Now I can see why an investor would want to sell the property by self or work with agents.

Hey fellas, I have a simple rookie question, do you investors and flippers rather sell your properties yourself? Or get a realtor sell it for you?
