@Odie Ayaga @Ladè Baruwa I agree with you both. I should have been clearer. I would like to flip houses in an affordable market to build capital for a few years. Afterwards, I intend to veer into buying and holding multi family rentals. So my immediate focus would be flipping. 

Im currently in data gathering stage like what markets best fit my criteria and making good connections to be able to do a few flips within the next year. I've also been reading a couple books that came up on several podcasts.

my name is Anu and i'm an engineer in Northern New Jersey looking to dive into real estate investing. I currently have a single family rental but I would like to get into house flipping and multi-family rentals in cheaper markets out of state like Detroit or Buffalo, NY, and maybe eventually in state as well.
