@Kenneth McKeown,

I'm in the Army so I'll be at Ft. Hood.  Don't know which city yet though.  Still got some time to look for a place.  I am currently at Wiesbaden, Germany.  It's about five hours west of Paris.  I bet your ride has been exciting.  I think the ride is what makes you learn so much.  I look forward to it.

@Ziad Hamati,

I would like that!!  I'll be in Ft. Hood in June timeframe.  Don't know which city we'll be laying our heads at though.  I still have some time.  I am serious about the journey and striving to set the conditions to be an investor.   So my short term goal is to surround myself with other investors with the same goal in mind.

Hello BP family. I will be up front and vulnerable in saying that I am a complete novice in real-estate investing; however, constantly learning on a daily basis.  I emphasize this preface being that I make small daily improvements in learning by reading material, podcasts, and reading post, etc.  I just wanted to put it out there that I just want to learn and would love to talk with anyone in this circle.  I am interested in multi-family and I'm projected to move to Texas in June 2022.  So if anyone simply wants to connect, I would love to pick your brain; on the contrary, I will do my best to add value any way that I can.  Thanks everyone.

@Boris Portnov

I was thinking about utilizing a FHA loan for my first investment purchase, but the problem is I wouldn't be house hacking, so with me not living at there, I'd have to use conventional lending. I didn't know PMI stayed until the property is refi'd. That is great information to know. Good thing I read this!!!

Great information.  I am in the same situation where I'm saving money.  My initial thoughts were to simply leave it in my bank being I will be using it for a property, but it makes sense to continue to have the money work for you while saving as well.  Good thing I read this!!!

@Alexander Felice

We hear what we are ready to hear.  Still to this day, I wish I would've listened and did better. But now we seek something different so now that we know better, we do better.

Don't take the limits of your vision to be the limits of the world.  Strive to be the best person you can be and most of all, seek self improvement!!!

@Brent Kane

This is true. I am still trying to put it in my head on how to explain the investments and goals for the future.   We will get on the same page.  I think it would be difficult to change the mindset of anyone after years of thinking a certain way.  Thanks!!!

@Evaristo Urbaez

It takes time, this I know.  I am on a mission which requires a lot of reading, podcasts, tv, and networking.  I am learning how to present her with my vision and goals as well.  It'll take time.  All good things take time.  It'll happen. Thanks!!!

@Bruce Lynn

I'm going to be living in the Fort Hood area. I believe we are looking at Harker Heights and the other various areas around there. I am definitely saving money to be ready because Texas is a hot spot. I am from AZ and the VA wasn't a very good reliable option being many people had cold cash offers. I like your phrase "short term pain for long term gain". This is what I am looking at. I will continue to have those talks with the wife. Thanks!!!
