You can come in late if you need to. If you can't make it they meet at the same place the first Tuesday of every month at the same time.

There is a AZREIA meet up tomorrow June 7th at Yavapai Title on Gurley street from 5:30-7:30. It's a great place to meet local investors. I'm going to try to make it. Hope to se you there.

Welcome to B.P. This is a great site. I am originally from Nebraska. Go Huskers! A great way to start is to look for for a multi family property and use your VA loan to purchase it with no money down. You will have to live in one of the units for at least 1 year, but it's a great way to get started in real estate. Your tenants in the other units will pay for your mortgage. Just make sure you find a good deal on the property. Good luck!
There is a beginner investor subgroup through the REIA on the 14th, but I don't see anything the days you will be in Phoenix.

I agree with Mr Davis. A lot of investors are doing hard money loans instead of doing fix and flips. They feel it's less stressful than finding a deal, overseeing the rehab and then selling the property while making a good return on investment.

Investing is a tough business no matter what anyone tells you. The gurus make it sound easy. It sounds like you are on the right path. Don't give up! Maybe try to find a partner for you first few deals to help you build up credibility. Keep up the hard work.

This is my first post here on B.P. although I have been a member for a few months. I am from Prescott AZ and looking to invest in the Phoenix and northern Arizona area. I have been learning so much from bigger pockets and I still have a lot more to learn. Thank you all for the great post and education.
