This summer I'll be doing light renovations on the kitchen of my house hack property and this is my first time scheduling any sort of renovations.

Does anyone have any recommendations on where I can shop for cabinets and possibly kitchen designs?

I'm in the Atlanta, Georgia market.

Thanks guys!

Thanks @Jessie Cruz I'll be sure to check it out! I've done a fair amount of research on real estate photography and photography in general. I thought it would be a good idea to link my creative hobbies to my professional goals! Thanks for the app recommendation. I'll check out insidemaps ASAP!

Hey BP family!

Since I have never done any real estate photography or video work I'd like to offer my services FREE for a few serious inquiries around the greater Atlanta area. (I don't mind driving 50-60 miles if need be)

I have worked professionally with DLSR cameras and drones for over 2 years, and have the experience and confidence to create something beautiful that could bring value to others.

What I am looking to gain from this is as simple as being around others who are into REI as much as I am, building relationships, providing value to others and adding another avenue to my creative porfolio!
If you have a wild hair and want to give a 29 year old with camera experience a chance to get into the business he loves so much feel free to give me that chance. Worst case scenario everything looks terrible, you chose not to use the photos or videos and you didn't waste a dime! Maybe get a free head-shot for your new business card out of it?

If you are an average of the 5 people you spend the most time around then I'm a "Operator at an Oil Re-refinery". However, I have a strong DESIRE to change that to say something more like "Real Estate Investor extraordinaire" Maybe not "extraordinaire" but Uncle G says to 10X so I'll 10X it!

Thanks in advance BP family!

@Brenden Mitchum Perfect! Thanks for the links! I would prefer a more intimate setting, at least at first.

@Ovais Zuberi Did you move from Chicago to Atlanta because of our market? What differences have you experienced in the Atlanta market than in Chicago?

It's difficult trying to have a conversation with people about REI especially when they are not interested or not doing it themselves. I would like to surround myself with more people to have the conversation with. More people that think about REI as much as I do and apparently there are none in my immediate circle. These links are definitely a good start.

Thanks again!

This year has been my first year investing so I don't have much to compare it to but honestly its actually helped me out a good bit. Loan rates were at a historic low so that was nice @Demarcus Crump

I know everyone has been thrown a curve ball since the virus but I was curious if there were any REI clubs in Atlanta still going on be it in person or via internet?

Post: CPA needed for single family portfolio (Atlanta, Ga)

I've recently started my investment journey by buying a SF home as a house hack in Atlanta, Ga. Looking for a CPA who specializes in investment properties. I have been very organized with my records and wanted to build a long term relationship with a CPA who I trust. If this is you or someone you know please reach out!

Thanks in advance!

Investment Info:

Single-family residence buy & hold investment in Atlanta.

My goal for my first property was to negate my then current living expense (rent) and if I cash flowed then that would be great! With this property I was able to achieve that goal AND cash flow $440 a month!

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

Between reading Set For Life by Scott Trench and listening to BP podcast I realized I was in a situation to make a house hack happen right then and there. So instead of my roomates and I paying someone else mortgage they are now paying for mine!

How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?

I found the deal on Zillow

How did you finance this deal?

FHA loan 3.5 percent down

Lessons learned? Challenges?

So far what im learning is that "Newly Renovated" doesnt mean it was done well. Having to work through some minor utility issues but nothing major.
