My brother stays in a property zoned multifamily and has 4 basically huts on them. He lives in one and basically uses the other 3 for storage. 

I want to buy it if my mom decides to sell it. I was thinking of tearing down the huts and building 4 duplexes and aiming for 2 to be short term rentals and make the other 2 long term rentals. 

Does this sound like a good investment and can anyone recommend other strategies for the property?

Thank you Greg for the reply but can't you directly invest inside your solo k in alternative investments like real estate or just take a loan against it instead of withdrawing the funds and paying the penalty?

How valuable is a solo 401K for investing your retirement funds into real estate?

Good afternoon everyone I have been investing in a REIT with Fundrise it's sitting at around $10k is this a good platform to invest in as far as real estate investing goes?

I just signed up to get my real estate license, is there things in particular I should pay extra attention to?

My goal is to use the license to help view properties in order to grow my personal portfolio. 

Since I have little money currently I'm thinking of starting out wholesaling and using the income I earn from selling real estate to invest myself. 

Starting out as a real estate agent do you recommend joining a broker  and if so where do you suggest to get started?

Good evening everyone I'm Anthony Mitchell from Fort Myers, Fl. I just upgraded to pro membership to I'm looking to get started investing in rental properties (single family and multi family). I have another year before I can use my VA loan again due to being 1099 and not having 2 years continues employment at the same company. I'm having a hard time finding funding for my first deal.
