@Ryan Scott Isacksen

I’m interested in the owners manuals you mentioned, can you tell me a little more about what you’re referring to? If I missed the boat on this one please let me know 😂

@Zachary Caudill

I haven’t been in about a year, but the last Thursday of every month at the Brew Garden in Strongsville they have a meetup. Not sure if it’s still active but I’ve gone a few times and met a contact or two.

@Franky Aikens

Not sure if this book has already been mentioned, lots of comments.

“Mastery- The keys to success and long term fulfillment” by George Leonard was a game changer for me. We all know success doesn’t come overnight, and this book helped me in many ways in that regard. This ales helped me redefine what I thought was success.

The idea is that mastering anything from your relationships, to your career, or hobbies, ‘mastery’ is always a continuous path, and never a destination. You will spend most of your time in a plateau while attempting to master anything, and the idea is to enjoy that plateau for what it is. Relax and clear your head while doing the dishes. Turn the radio off and enjoy the noise of your car and the road while driving.

Just my .02 but the principles I’ve learned from this book have carried more weight than most other things I’ve enjoyed reading. Check it out of that sound interesting!

Happy reading!

@Chad Clark

I’ve used Cozy.co for the last four years on my triplex and have had great results. It’s free, tracks all payments for me and my residents, and offers a few other extra features as well.

Would recommend to anyone managing a small portfolio.

@Andy Pate

Hey man! I searched “discipline” to see what comes up for some healthy reading, and came across your post.

A favorite book of mine is called “Mastery” by George Leonard. The general idea is that mastering anything - from your profession to your relationships or hobbies is a continuous path, and never a destination. You’ll spend most of your time in a plateau, and learning to have the discipline to enjoy exactly where you’re at on your path at any time is invaluable.

I really enjoyed the book, I hope you do as well!

@Elaine Lai I’ve worked with “Progressive Land TItle Agency” they’re pretty well known in Cleveland. Give them a try. I have the same outlook and loved Alexander Felice’s broke is a choice blog! That 9 week BRRRR with delayed financing was awesome! Working on closing a Tremont double with the same method. Best of luck to you Elaine!
That’s an awesome story with a great ending! Do you mind if I ask how you or your mgmt company “prequalify” tenants? I self manage my rentals, and I’m looking to implement an efficient and repeatable system for turnovers to reduce vacancy. Thanks for sharing!
