I represent a court-appointed receiver substituting in for the owner/borrower to oversee the completion of a troubled, newly constructed multifamily residential project in California. Our responsibilities include evaluating the current construction progress, identifying all involved subcontractors, reviewing the scope of their work, and the financial transactions including payments made and pending, as well as any existing contracts and change orders. Our goal is to efficiently drive the project to its completion.

We are in search of an accounting and bookkeeping firm (remote is fine) with a proven track record in managing complex construction projects, particularly those that are distressed. The firm will be responsible for direct communication with all subcontractors (re accounting/claims/documentation matters), the collection and organization of all project-related documents, including contracts and payment requests, and the meticulous accounting of all financial activities up to the project's completion. Key qualities required include strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently.

If your firm has the expertise in handling such demanding scenarios and can provide the rigorous oversight required, we invite you to contact us to discuss this opportunity further.
