Sorry to leave everyone hanging. We found a great career opportunity for my husband here in Richmond and we are able to keep on track rehabbing our home. Thank you all for your consideration and opinions! I think it worked out for the best for our family. I will keep many of you in mind in the future. Again, thank you all!

@Justin Pierce @Michael A. thank you for your opinions. I will have to further investigate going that route. The concerns we have are timing-closing would need to be somewhat quick-and potentially taking a hit. We're hoping to find a way to hold on to it longer with the possibility that one of us stays behind and finishes the remaining projects. It's early to say but I appreciate the feedback.

My husband and I are live-in flippers (first house in Virginia-3rd overall) and are only 7 months in our fixer when we lost our main income. We've made a number of repairs so far with general clean up (5 dumpsters worth) and are currently tackling other projects on the house while job searching. We might need to move from the state in the coming months. We'd prefer to manage our own rental properties (it's not quite in rental shape at this point which we are working toward on limited funds), so we are considering selling to an investor. We'd like to see the house properly done and are not all that familiar with local options. We are open to other ideas. Can someone please recommend reputable Richmond/Richmond area investors?
