Post: How to handle friends not on the same path as you.

This is your financial freedom, you can only do you. Don't worry about naysayers or  what other people think. There's other ways to connect with college friends even if they don't have the same mindset as you in building wealth through real estate. It's okay to  have different types of friends. I have RE friends and mentor, I have volunteer friends. I have travel friends, dancing friends and the list goes on. They all serve a purpose in  life. It  will ebb and flow as your life evolves.

Stay focused. Stay on this path. It's okay to be the exception rather than screwed up norm - chase after debt and bigger limited paychecks.  10 years from now when you have passive income, working less hours, not worried about a job, debt free while your friends are still chasing the bigger paycheck to pay debt, they'll be asking you for advise.

Courage to be different is not the absence of fear but rather to keep going despite fear. Are we going to make mistakes - absolutely, that's how we learn. Hopefully not big mistakes that can cost you or set you back in your goals. That's why analysis and financial intelligence is key in this journey.  Keep learning and adding tools to your toolbelt.

Anyway, I wish I had a mentor or coach or had done this when I was in college but hindsight is 20-20, I'd have my freedom 10x over of this I'm sure... but it's never too late to start or take action.  I am doing it now. Fear is temporary, regret is forever, in this case, it can cost you your future freedom.  As a first generation american immigrant, my parents didn't know what they didn't know, they were from the old school - go to school, get good grades, get a job and stay there forever. It might have worked in their generation but certainly not today or the future...

if you haven't, suggest you read:

Kiyosaki's Rich Dad Poor Dad or listen to the audio

Robert Frost poem "The Road not taken"

We are working with Kiyosakis I/Investor quadrant(let your money work for you, not you work for your money) as opposed to the E/Employee, S/self employed, B/business owner quadrants-the rat race quadrants of you work/slave for your money.

My parents couldn't guide me in this space since they came from the Poor Dad syndrome - go to school and get a job/journey of the broke and the rat race like the majority population.

Hope this offers some insight and encouragement for  you. :-)

Does anyone know how to just reset password if you can't remember or system won't accept original password. It appears I'm not the only one with this issue.

I can get in with my computer, but if I use another device, I can't get to my pro account. Help, is there a tech support # we can call for this? Thanks. Annie

Something thats meaningful business to you. Your name is a good place to start,i.e. JWalls REI, LLC comes to mind .....key next actionable steps:

1-if the name is already registered in the state, in NM we have this site to search for company names--NM site is https://portal.sos.state.nm.us/BFS/online/CorporationBusinessSearch. I'm sure every state has one like it.

2--then check if domain is already owned/taken or not

3 -- grab the domain name for your website $12/year with Google domains...or godaddy or similar.

Hope these help....-- Albuquerque Annie I.

Hi everyone,

Are there any webinars on Hotel-Tourism-Retail/Multi Purpose Commercial RE investing. I'd like this to be part of my business portfolio along with MF Multipurpose Rental (Retail, apartments, storage combo). I am going from SF to go big on MF and Commercial. I've made contact with someone in NM who's focus is Hotel-Tourism-Retail who got local funding support of over $2mil in Silver City. It's a different type of analysis that goes into this and I continue to learn - ADR/Avg Daily Rate vs ARV-After repair value, RevPAR vs. per door $. I'm thinking I can translate what I know off SF/MF analysis over Hotel, but I'm sure there's more to it. I'm interested in connecting with anyone out there to help each other out - collaborate to exchange ideas, brainstorm...Thoughts? and Thanks from Albuquerque Annie

Hi everyone,

Has anyone out there done what I'm trying to do? Care to share your journey...please.

I'm no expert but have some knowledge and a1 successful REI experience in my SF (Albuquerque NM state) . I do have some knowledge on MF investing-group syndication out of FL. I have my SF posted in my profile as my first that is cashflowing $300/mo. I'd like to multiply this by 100, doable? I'm crazy? I'm insane? or what? I'm in the process of selling my SF now (no capital gains/5 year lookback lived in it for 2 of 5 years). target listing 6/10.

Anyway, my goal is to get to passive income $3k-$10k or higher from SF to MF 100+ units.    I want to go big with a MF deal aiming at the $3k-10k monthly passive income.# of units secondary to $ goals.

I  I don't have a job income coming in right now, so trying to do this with OPM and accelerate. I may need to tap into the $ from the sale of the above home until I can land that first big million dollar deal for me to stop looking for a j-o-b. Guess there's nothing like getting a kick, a push, and a shove...LOL

I'm also thinking of a duplex in Chicago,  trying to get my daughter who lives there get started with me on this one so she can have her own place 'rent free' (OPM/other people's $ pay for her rent).

I was thinking of splitting the from the SF sale into 2 deals. I believe it's doable. Thanks
