Does anyone have a contact for a small multi investor friendly CPA. I have a property in Vermont and I just bought a new property outside of LA. I need a tax advisor as well as tax preparation. I would prefer a CPA located in California.

@Chris Allen thanks Chris for your good input and suggestions. I’m considering getting a PRN job in San Diego just to show that I am invested in the area. It really aggravates me that traveling nurses are disadvantage by the nature of their job.

@Chris Allen you are exactly right. Multiple lenders told me that I had to secure a job in the market I wanted to invest in. It doesn’t matter if you are a resident of that state. They just want you to be working in that location. That way it ties you down to that area. It makes it more difficult to buy a primary residence when you’re a traveling nurse because you might be changing job every 13 weeks.

I'm a traveling nurse who's looking into house hacking a small multi with an occupant owner loan. Is there any traveling nurse in the BP community who house hacked a property and lived there for at least one year while still traveling nursing? What was the process and the different lending regulations in regard to traveling nursing and the nature of our job? It came to my attention that for me to use an occupant owner loan, I have to secure a job in the market where I want to house hack and still work at that hospital by the time I close on the property. I'm looking for some clarification from somebody who has been through the process. Thank you.
