If you own property in multiple entities, how can you get an umbrella policy when the insurance company wants to know that you are the owner of each entity?

A bit late in the response, however, if it helps, here goes. You can apply for unemployment and then when the PPP funds come thru, you can choose to either continue unemployment or cancel it and take the PPP. You cannot take both at the same time.

If you are an individual, is it better to setup an s-corp or single member LLC taxed as an s-corp? Would there be any risk with single member LLCs being disregarded for asset protection?

Does it make any difference in terms of savings or interest paid if you make your mortgage payment on the 1st of the month versus on the 15th of the month?

To form LLCs, where are the best places to get them setup? Is it better to get it done by an attorney or are those incorporation websites sufficient and reliable enough? Any recommendations on attorneys or sites that are good for structuring the LLC? Do we need an LLC specifically tailored for real estate investing?

What generally is the cost to form an LLC?

Appreciate the feedback. Followup question, anyone know how to determine when it would be good to pay extra points upfront to bring down the rate and when it's better not to?

Hello,

What's the best strategy in the following situation? A 3 unit plex currently has the mortgage under the name of an individual who no longer has any employment income. It's an adjustable loan so the goal is to get a fixed loan. What are the best options? Can we get someone else to take over the loan and will that result in property taxes getting reassessed? Or should we try to pay off the loan by borrowing funds elsewhere?
