Hi BP Community,

I will be visiting the Scottsdale area from Oct 21-Oct 23rd. I'm looking for an investor friendly agent that can show me some Single Family homes in the greater Scottsdale area. I'd love to connect beforehand and hear your POV on how the LTR market has been in the last few months.

If anyone has general advice about investing in AZ, I am open to exploring other markets while I'm out there.

Cheers! Looking forward to connecting,

Maybe best to get boots on ground and  go the meetups before doing remote stuff  is a  good approach

Hi John, I couldn't agree more. My goal is to narrow down to 3-4 markets, set up some appointments with investor-friendly realtors ahead of time and visit each market in person. It can be impossible to make a decision without visiting the area.

Your Facebook group idea was incredibly helpful--I just joined the Columbus Ohio group.

Out of curiosity, are there any markets you've had your eyes on for some time. From a quality of life perspective, I've been considering Georgia and the Carolinas. I'm looking to purchase a LTR (buy and hold strategy). Initial thoughts on those markets?

Hi Samuel!
I am trying to make the most of WFH so I couldn't agree with you more! Columbus has not been on my radar, but now you've got me thinking. Would you say the Columbus market is still growing or plateauing?

Let me know if you'd be interested in connecting offline about this and I'll send you a PM. I'm definitely open to considering opportunities in the midwest.

Hi Sam! Sending you a PM. I always welcome the introduction and would love to learn about your investing experience as well.

Cheers,

Hi Kerlous!

Appreciate the insight! If I'm looking for a LTR in a market that has solid appreciation, what key metrics would you recommend I consider?

So far, I've been evaluating Price Growth and Rent Growth in certain markets as well as unemployment rates and job growth. I've been setting my sights on markets with major hospitals or Universities.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Todd, thanks for your reply--you nailed it! I'm looking for a long term rental in a market with solid appreciation. Given your experience with out of state investors, I'd love to learn more. Sending you a PM to find a time to chat.

All the best!

Hi River,

Off the bat, I'm already so impressed with the responsiveness and willingness to connect within the BP Community! 😁 At this time, I'm interested in exploring LTR. I'd love to send you a PM and find a time to connect. Thanks, River! Looking forward to getting to know you more.

Best,

Hey BP Community,

Excited to be here! I’m a first time investor and eager to just connect and hear about how you got started.

Background: full time remote employee in the advertising industry. Working for DraftKings. I’m based in CA, but lived in Boston for many year!

Goal: I’d like to buy my first rental income property in the next year. Open to anywhere in the United States. Have some markets in mind but would like to hear your thoughts.

If you’re a female investor, let’s chat!

Cheers,
