Hi All! I am a newbie in REI and would love to get advice from those who have been doing this a while.

Is it worth investing in education or mentorships (WREIN is what I have been looking into but am skeptical).  
Or can you find the information you need on your own.  

If that later, what steps would you recommend taking to getting started.
