@Megan Ahern

Thank you! I would love to chat sometime.

@Josh Nix I would love to go, but my job is on second shift (from 2pm-10pm) so unfortunately that isn't possible for me right now. Thank you for the invitation!

Hello!

In my current state of learning everything I can about RE investing, I keep coming across the challenges of getting financing after 4-10 traditional mortgages. I haven't seen anyone mention LendingClub or similar organizations as a way to finance their acquisitions. Is there a specific reason for this?

Thanks

Thank you for the responses! They really did help clarify things for me.
@Ryan Mahoney Thank you for all of the suggestions! I will definitely check them out.

@Ryan Mahoney

Hi Ryan! I grew up in Shelby (a small town just south of Columbus) but recently moved to Lincoln. How is Hastings? I don't think I've ever been there, just Grand Island.

I'm not sure what type of investing I would like to start with, but I would eventually like to be a buy and hold investor. I do know that I definitely don't like fix and flip (or similar strategies), it doesn't fit my personality at all.

I have listened to a handful of the BP podcasts so far. They are very inspiring and actually very helpful in their quick side explanations for newbies such as myself.

Also, I would be happy to hear all of your book selections. I love reading!

Hello! My name is Anna and I have no real estate experience. (Hopefully BP can change that)

I spent a lot of my time looking at wealth and income-building strategies from traditional stock market investing but the numbers from different setups never seemed to match up with the kind of returns I was dreaming of and in no way would be able to replace my job before retirement (one of my longest-standing goals). I was in the library looking for more books searching for something that could motivate me when I saw a real estate book and just happened to read the first chapter. I was instantly moved and the returns outlook laid out was exactly the kind of plan I was searching for.

I look forward to meeting and learning from all of you!

Thank you.

Hello! This is my first time posting and I'm not entirely sure if this is the right place for this question. I apologize if it isn't.

I recently read Gary Keller's book "The Millionaire Real Estate Investor" and in one part of the book (Part Two: The Four Stages>Own A Million>Issue 15: Protect Your Assets, pg. 302) he briefly touches on the importance of "entity and estate planning" in relation to protecting yourself against liabilities and minimizing taxes in the long run. He also mentions that failing to do this can be an expensive mistake.

Does anyone have any article links that give a more in-depth look to this aspect of RE Investing? Or perhaps some personal experiences they would be willing to share? I would like to be able to protect any future investments and returns from them and would love to have a better understanding of the process/benefits/consequences of this part of the game.

Thank you.
