Good Morning BP Community,

My name is Anna and I grew up in Northern Iowa.
My background in RE is purchasing a condo as my primary residence in 2012.
I came here to learn more about being a landlord for the future in 2017.
Yesterday I just polished off the article how to rent your home and screening tenants. Thanks to BP for being here I feel as though I can be a landlord without paying a manager.

My W2 gig is a Registered nurse who has been working in Dialysis for the past five years. Working at clinics throughout the metro area. I've also created another job for myself by opening a 5,000 sq foot Fitness Clinic now in 2017 we have moved to a larger 10,000 sq foot facility. This is located in a small town called Norwood Young America, Minnesota. See profile photo. I take the philosophy that you must be consistent and persistent to achieve your goals and this holds true inside and outside the weight room. I find by listening to the pod casts that many of you also share this mindset.

I'm going to continue to listen to the podcasts before I start stating a specific goal in real estate. I will use what I currently have to get started which is my current purchase of the condo. After utilizing the information on the site I will admit that I purchased my current place because people told me "it was a good investment" I really didn't have much knowledge and just knew that I wanted a place to live. HOWEVER thank you now I understand much more WHY this is so beneficial and how I can use this purchase to continue to my general goal of being financially free. I will take more personal responsibility and due diligence from here on out.
My ability thus far to make money with my W2 job has been working toward my mission to get folks moving and change how fitness is delivered to the masses especially those in small towns or rural areas. Working on this for only two years. On a side note if you are looking to create change in the way the fitness industry operates contact me and lets talk about your thoughts over coffee. If your thoughts include how to better merge the fitness industry and the health care industry that's great as well. I'm a nurse who would much rather implement a prescription for exercise then a ten min and push a pill doctor visit with no follow up from doctor.

I love an Americano with room for full fat cream!

Sierra's question X2

I would like clarification on what someone might perceive as a "small town"
