Hi Andy, @Andy Sturm

I have also wondered this same thing! I am in the process of getting my RE license in GA, and I need to find a broker that is willing to work with me on my investing.

Keep me posted if anyone reaches out to you regarding this.  And I will do the same.

@Sreenath Vemulapalli

 Thanks for the suggestion on Mahsa! I will give her a call.

@Lee S.

@Nelson J Castillo

and the others, I tried to tag the others, but it wouldn't populate....

First class was pretty painless!  I have a million notecards to make to learn all the terms but overall it gave me a lot of momentum.  Thanks for the kind words and feedback.

Best,

anna

Happy Monday, All!

I am starting real estate school this evening. Wish me luck. I am super excited, although i might want to die after the six weeks is up. I work full time, have a 9mth old and 3.5yr old, a husband who works hard and now RE school at night and every Saturday. Am I freaking CRAZY?! It will all be worth it, but I need to hear it from you guys.

Thanks,

Anna

@Zachary Gwin

Thanks for posting!  Glad your job is going great.  It is not surprising that the Bigger Pockets family runs a tight ship over there that is both rewarding and fun.  I enjoyed reading about you.  Keep sharing!  See you around the site.

@Jon Acosta

yes, smyrna is a great place to live and invest.  It is growing like crazy. I have not secured any properties there yet...but it is on my list. It only makes sense to invest where you love. I am open to chat whenever.

@Jon Acosta

BP Lurker...lol. I also am a bit of a lurker.  :)

Welcome to the team.  Looking forward to seeing you around the forum.  BP is full of infinite knowledge and help.  Research, research research...but as you know the learning begins when you actually start doing.

Good Luck, Jon. See you around town.

@tim lindstrom

Hi Tim,

I am also learning about flood zones b/c a property that I want to pursue is in a Zone A flood area. I found you can search for your property address at FEMA's Flood Map website.

https://msc.fema.gov/portal/search

On the left hand side you can put in the exact address.  If it is located in Zone A, then it is required to have flood insurance (if you are borrowing from a lender).  I am very new to this, so my knowledge is limited.

Keep me posted on what you find out in regards to investing in a flood zone or staying away.  I posted io the BP Forum (this morning) to ask whether or not it is a deal breaker to buy in a flood zone.

Thanks!

Anna
