Post: How to Handle a House Auction

I think I have found a single-family home that, if flipped successfully and sold, could result as a great deal. It is in a great neighborhood and in 1999 it sold for $300k. The only thing is that it is up for auction and there are no interior pictures of it. The auction is starting at $100 and I was wondering how high a buyer should bid on a property like this one. Suggestions?

Good evening!

My goal right now is to learn as much as I can from seasoned and experienced investors. I'm reading, watching YouTube videos and listening to podcasts throughout the day. I'm new to the game, but have in mind that I'd like to eventually flip homes and properties. However, as of now, I'd really like to learn about the essentials of how to begin a career in real estate investing.

I figure networking events are ideal to learn about these topics, so I've registered for upcoming events with DREIA, BREIA and a Meet Up with GREAT Opportunity Realty. I'm sure there are tons of more events, but I'd like to hear from people here about their favorite groups and where you think I'd be able to learn the most.

Thanks so much and I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

I see it already. The support on this site is incredible. I'm eager to meet investors to learn as much as I can from them and their experiences.

Hello all,

My name is Angie Blanco and reside in Miami, FL. I'm new to the real estate industry, but I'm eager to learn and become successfully active in the field. I'm currently in school for my BFA, but can't stop thinking about all of the possibilities with real estate investing. I'm especially interested in learning how to successfully flip properties, as well as, renting out single-family homes or small complexes.

I'd also love to connect with experienced investors either in my area or through this site. I will be sure to attend networking events to learn and build connections.

Looking forward to hearing from you all!

Hello all,

I'm new to the real estate industry, but eager to learn the ropes. I'd like to know more about the properties in my area to be able to eventually and successfully buy and flip, invest and rent.

I'm looking for an opportunity to achieve this goal with a knowledgeable team that I can shadow and assist.

Looking forward to hearing back.

Best,

Angie Blanco
