I'm not sure how to reply to each of you individually so please accept this message to you you all. It is an honor to be a part of this community.  I thank each and everyone of you for your valuable input and information.  We got a hold of the girlfriend and she just kept crying and said that she had no idea and was completely upset and embarrassed, and said that they broke up and that he is in Venice, due to return on Wednesday. True or not, we don't know, but since they are teachers and with our respect towards educators, we wanted to see how we can protect them from having evictions in their records.  Nevertheless, proper process has begun and they are to hopefully move out by next Saturday, if not, then we will have to use legal force.  We will not contact their employer as has been advised by you wonderful people.

Thank you again

Hello all,

Is a landlord allowed to call the tenant's employer/ place of work due to the rent being late for 15 days and the tenant's does not respond to any form of contact? and they are no longer in the property but their girlfriend, who is not on the lease, still lives there? Two months ago, he gave his notice to leave on the 15th of April (just a few days away). If I'm not allowed to discuss the late rent with the employer, am I allowed to at least ask if he still works there? Or is that illegal?

Thank you,

Shaw
