Very nicely said & organized! And I totally agree, I just posted about this, you have to be a Go-Giver, if you have not read this book, get it, I think there are actually 4 of these books now, but the first one (red cover) is the one I am referring to. Give something first - my example is simple - Can I cold call for you, I need to practice in this area anyways? Can I help you in some way? Etc. Then you say/ask what you need.

I am a Subto student, so if anyone would like to learn about Subject-to or Seller Financing, I will make time for you. More tools in your tool belt = more success. Feel free to message me. I am a great Go-Giver and I can teach you, if you have an open mind.

Flipping the coin over tho - I do believe that the newbies are lost & overwhelmed and all they can think of is questions!! Do you really blame them?? It's a lot coming into the Real Estate world. Sometimes you get lost & frustrated....

Ciao for now! And again, great post! Thank you!

Thanks for the response. For busy and experienced investors who answer many questions here, we often judge the intent of the question because good intentions will get better answers. If this can make people more intentional with their questions, they will get much farther, much quicker.

Correct, in the beginning its hard for some and also they do need to utilize the search button!! Many questions get asked over & over again so there is probably already a similar question with the answer there if you just search for it. In Subto we have a "Zoom vault" and man - its a gold mine - just search for something & its there with tons of videos at your disposal. Same thing with FB - you search for key words & the answers are already at your fingertips! And this can be done here as well.....

Search, search, search people!!

Ciao for now!

Hi there Anne - I am a Subto student - there is someone in our community named Caroline Cain - she has a page on Amazon, all her suggested books are amazing. Go-Giver is amazing, meaning give before you ask for something. How can I help you? How can I help you achieve some of your business goals? Can I cold call for you, I need to practice this skill anyways? Those are just suggestions on that subject. Also, Wealth Without Cash by Pace Morby is amazing, if you are interested in Creative Finance. Also Million Dollar Wholesale by Hodges will teach you how to Wholesale & scale a successful wholesaling business. Both Pace Morby & James Hodges have mentor programs, they are expensive, but they will accelerate your business very quickly. If you have any further questions, please message me - I love making connections & giving advice!!

Ciao for now & best of luck!

Hi there Justin!

My suggestion on this is -

1. Figure out whether you are a visionary or integrator first & then find your opposite. "Opposites attract" is also true for business partners. You definitely want a "like-minded" individual but you don't want that person to do the same tasks as you or its all just a big waste of time. This comes from the book Rocket Fuel - buy it, read it, live by it, read it again, take notes. Pass it along to your business partner!

2. Find your local REIA & yes, go to events! Sign up. A quick Google search should lead you in the right direction.

3. Join a community - I am part of 3 communities - they help you grow & are there when you need something. Facebook & IG help as well, build your business pages, search for businesses of the same & different caliber & these business owners will assist you as well.

4. Learn how to be a Go-Giver - get the book - read it - employ it - use it every day of your life & see how being a Go-Giver can change your outlook. Don't just ask for something, try to give something first - a Joint Venture opportunity - cold calling for free - etc. It works!

5. Look up the Walt Disney story - Walt was the visionary who did not have his integrator for the beginning of his journey, he failed over & over. He realized many years after he started his journey that his brother was the integrator he had been searching for. After they partnered, the Disney legacy grew to its full potential. True story!

Hope this helped you out - Ciao for now!

Hello everyone!

I am new to Bigger Pockets! I am a Subto student and have recently opened my businesses - Purple Reef Holdings & Purple Reef Properties. I just published my Purple Reef Properties website through godaddy & am working on the other website. I am motivated and excited to learn, mingle and get to know some of you. I need my team - as I stated above - within the next 2 weeks I am going to hire my VA's, an acquisition team, door knocking team and I need advice & suggestions from the more experienced! Please email me at my personal email if you have time to chat - need people in my area to offer guidance and suggestions. I appreciate all of you & hope to hear from you!

Thanks!
