Hi Eric,

SLC has some great things going on: Amazing mountains for skiing, biking and hiking, relatively cheap compared to CA or CO, and the beer is getting better! I think House hacking a SFH or a Duplex is a great way to start out in this town. For the last 3-4 years prices have gone crazy March-May, stayed high June-August, leveled out for fall and dipped a little in Dec-Feb. Then it goes bonkers again. Please reach out if you need any info about buying (or skiing/snowboarding) here.

Are you looking to keep your SLC property as a rental, or cash in and use the money to invest in KC?

Hi Nathan- Welcome to the crew! There are loads of great resources here on BP, and out in SLC. Do you currently own a place here? are you looking to buy something to house hack, or go for a straight rental? Do you work at the U, or Intermountain? Please feel free to message me with any questions about buying here.

Hi Larissa, my broker has a property management company. I'd be happy to pass on their details in a PM.

Try Summit Builders, Utah LLC. They do work for a developer I know. Townhomes and apartments mostly. PM me if you need contact details.

Hi Chris,

Welcome to The Valley, and welcome to BP! I agree with Jaiden and Jordan, the SLREIA and other meet ups are a great resource for education and networking. Think about the price point you want to enter. There is huge potential in Park City, especially if you have construction skills, but the buy in is a lot higher. Ogden has more affordable properties, and Salt Lake is somewhere in between.

My Broker's Property Management Company is currently seeing the best cash flow returns in West Jordan.

I rented for years in Salt Lake City. If you rent in The Avenues, Liberty Wells, Sugarhouse etc in an older place, you expect there to be a window unit.

@CJ B.

Hi CJ B, I’d love to connect too. I’m sending you a message. Do you come to SLC regularly, or manage your investments from CA?
