Hi BP Community,

I am a real estate agent in Miami, FL. I originally obtained my license because I considered it a stepping stone towards investing. While the education and knowledge have been a plus, the disclosure and fine lines I have to walk are kind of a pain. Currently, I am working with a large brokerage firm in my area. I am looking to move to a smaller, more investor/ wholesale friendly brokerage. I was wondering if anyone on the BP site could point me in the right direction (toward a broker who would be ok with wholesaling) or if anyone here is a wholesale friendly broker in Miami looking for agents. Thanks in advance.

@Ali Boone Here's to hoping Dolphins get it going! Nicaragua is beautiful, I love it there. My folks are from there and I've been going there since I was a child.

As for Atlanta, I have a friend who goes to Emory law and I enjoy spending time over there. Its great to get place to get away from the chaos of Miami :)

Hey @Mehran Kamari thank you for welcoming me. I appreciate the list of books and the tip. I will surely use the search tool to help me dig deeper! :)

Hey @Kemdrick Jones thank you for the guidance. I look forward to the growing pains but mostly to surviving! :) Thank you.

@Ali Boone go canes but more importantly GO HEAT!! :) I love living in Miami so ideally for now I'd like to stay here but I'm open to investing in other markets. Atlanta seems to be picking up and I go there often so I am thinking investing there also.

@Brandon Turner Thank you! It's a pleasure to be here! Thank you for your podcasts they're informative and helpful!

@Sabrina C. Thank you for welcoming me and reaching out. I will certainly be in touch!

Thank you Wendell!

I'm familiar with the buy and hold, fix and flip and wholesaling strategies. However, I know I'm just at the tip of the ice burg with all 3. I know there are a lot of foreclosures in my area which make flix and flip and wholesaling seem attractive. My goals are to become an active real estate investor initially, ultimate goal is receive passive income from buy n hold properties. I have spent sometime in Atlanta, Georgia and have heard the market there is picking up. I think that it would be a good idea to invest in buy n hold properties there as oppose to Miami where the market is volatile. I have some money saved away to invest in real estate and I plan to quit my job and get my foot in the door so to speak by becoming a real estate agent. I've been hesitant about networking because as I mentioned above, I don't know enough to feel comfortable speaking to others. I hope that I can acquire more knowledge and continue to work towards my goals. Thank you for reaching out and offering help.

Ramon thank you for those links! I'm going to look into them.

Oscar, thank you for your advice. I must admit I have been a little shy about posting but with introducing myself today I'm hoping I crossed that bridge already!

I've already read rich dad poor dad, which definitely provided me with a different perspective on investing and money. I have yet to read the other two, but I will purchase them, thank you for the recommendations and I hope we can help each other out!

Hello my name is Andrea. I am from Miami, FL and new to the world of investing. I've been lurking around the BP website for a couple of months now and today I've decided to finally introduce myself. I came across the BP forum initially through the podcasts. Brandon and Josh, I thoroughly enjoy listening to your podcasts, they have helped me wrap my mind around some of the RE concepts. Thank you !

In hopes of becoming more knowledgable about RE, I've read several books and continue to read. I wasn't sure how to go about finding a mentor with no real RE education, as I would like to know what I am talking about so I don't seem uninformed or uneducated, so recently I enrolled in a real estate associate course. My ultimate goal is buy and hold rentals but I also want to get involved with fix and flips.

I just wanted to introduce myself, look forward to meeting new people and interacting with you all!
