@Andrew Webster I get where you are coming from. Laws are different everywhere. What about some of the other options that were mentioned in the post? Any of those viable?

Thanks for reaching out again. I have been considering either renting out single rooms since its close to Morgan State University or simply putting it up for rent. I was considering the section 8 route but I'm trying not to get jaded in hearing some of the horror stories on some of the discussion forums...

Hello to all of you,

I wanted to ask for any insights... I'm in the process of closing on a property near the Lake Montibello area and was wondering would this be considered a desirable area for renting my place out in the case that I have to relocate for my job. Quick background- I'm a government employee and I travel quite a bit. On another note, would it be more beneficial to rent it out as a section 8 property or straight up rental in the event that I'm gone. The house has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and has been completely remodeled.
