I found a property in Puerto Rico and I purchased it cash for $30K. But I need approximately $80K to repair it. ARV will be approximately $300K. Are there any hard money loans I can get for the repair costs alone? What will they require of me? What are your thoughts? Any other questions you might have for me? Should I consider other types of loans for the construction?

Hello, my name is Drew Powell Sampellegrini, I am the proud partner to an up and coming Wine Events Company, and I am also a part time Real Estate Investor with properties in Florida, Hawaii and The Bahamas.  I am looking to expand my Wine Events planning company and need a place in NYC where we can hold our events.  We had some success last year and and want to secure a commercial space eventually but don't have a long enough history of income to jump into a commercial lease.  We were wondering if there were any investors/agents/brokers in the NYC area who could work with us to find what we are looking for.  Below is attached more information about the company and what specifically we are looking for.  Please feel free to contact me via private message or notes on here, and thank you once again for taking the time to read my message

Proud Wineaux is a NYC based wine event company specializing in wine education coupled with a complete blind tasting experience. We have conducted hundreds of events for various corporations and individuals alike in a "bar classroom" setting and are looking to re-launch our 90-minute wine education tastings. We are searching for an open studio space or restaurant with a minimum of 700 sq. ft. to be utilized each Sunday and eventually Saturdays. Times are flexible. If the space works out, we may be able to increase days to weekdays. A kitchen or space where kitchen equipment can be utilized is a plus. Capacity where a minimum of 30-40 people is preferred, tables and chairs a HUGE plus, but not a necessity.

Please visit our website at www.proudwineaux.com for more information about our company.

It's also a question of whether or not you can afford it on your own.  If you can, then go for it.  If you can't afford it on your own, 10% of something is better than 100% of nothing

How did it end up working out?  Or are you still in the process?

Look on MeetUp.com there is a big real estate investing networking group that meets up quite frequently. I've been to a few and there is always a big turnout, major players.

I believe it's NY REIA.

I did see that!  Thank you I was looking into it myself on there.  But we are bigger pockets!  We should be killing it with meet ups on here especially the most populated city in the Nation!

Drew

Hey Andrew, I suggest you start your own community meetup. Me and a few cohorts started one here in the Seattle Area. We hold 3 different meeting throughout the region and have 30-60 BP members show at every meeting. We almost have 300 members in our group of all levels and niches of investing. Its amazing!!! Its purely getting together for some networking, food and drinks.....No Gurus, No Pitching, and that's been quite a successful model. People love it!!!

Kevin

Its something I want to do!  It's in the mental stages I would say!  But thankyou for the suggestion!

@Andrew Powell-Sampellegrini I checked out your profile and seem to have some things in common. I'm nearby in Astoria and i'm deep into the research phase of looking to invest, probably away from the NYC area.

Perhaps we should put together our own meetup for NYC investors who are in similar positions, or have gone through it already?

Lets do it.  Im completly open to doing that.  It's time to connect with like minded people and brainstorm ideas and network and build our real estate conglomerates...

@mindy Jenson thankyou so much!  Ill look into it.  But I noticed there isn't one that happens often.  Ill check it out!
