Quote from @Andrew Freed:

@Andrew Ball - Great question! If you're looking for a mentor, you really need to think about how you can provide them value first. For instance, when I started, I was looking for a mentor as well but I knew a mentor would not give me the time of day if I did not provide value to them. Hence I decided to become an agent for a broker who was doing some really big things (a ton of multifamily investing and syndications) and bring him value in the form of commissions. It also gave me the opportunity to reach out to my "mentor" and ask him any investing questions I want under the auspices of working for him. It has brought a ton of value to my world and I even made some decent money on commissions. Figure out who is doing big things in your market, think of how you can make their life easier or bring value and connect, their mentorship will come down the road once you prove yourself.

Thank you!

Just graduated college in December and decided I want to start 2023 on the right note. Jumping both feet into Real Estate since I've always been passionate about it. Currently, I'm working towards getting my real estate license to become an agent. I know the market has its ups and its downs. What is your advice for a beginner? Also, I'm looking for a mentor that would kind of "show me the ropes" if you will. I have a great feeling this will be a great year!
