I'm a new investor; I recently purchased my first investment property (and home) in UPTOWN! It's a duplex with a third nonconforming unit. Absolutely stoked to house hack in Uptown.

Looking for some recommendations for good GC's/Contractors in the area. I need some work done on my property - and more importantly am looking to build key relationships going forward for my business. The ideal fit would be someone trustworthy and reliable, who can produce detailed and accurate quotes for work, and who addresses concerns quickly/understands urgency.

Your help is much appreciated!

Hey everyone - my first post! This seems like an awesome community, and I'm loving the podcast. Looking forward to growing my network.

A little bit about me - I'm a 23 year old recent college grad from Hartford, CT... who moved out to the Twin Cities area to take a job in corporate finance. I'm completely new to real estate investing, but I'm also incredibly driven, and an incredibly fast learner.

I've done a good amount of research over the past month, and have a pretty good idea of what kind of company I'd like to start and what my goals are... but I'm open to learning about anything. I envision finalizing the first draft of my business plan by mid-late January.

My ultimate goal is to build an incredible amount of equity and achieve financial independence through passive rental income, but that will take some time. I'm very interested in the wholesaling market here in the Twin Cities. I also will likely be looking to buy my first duplex/triplex this coming summer. I have a finance and not a marketing background, so that's another area of focus for me.
