I have Googled it and have an understanding but am unsure as to what I can say and call the monies and use different terms for the rent to own. I am trying to stay out of the tribunal and out of court.

I have heard stories that we are not allowed to collect a credit payment and not allowed to have the tenant forfeit any payment and if they don't go through with the purchase you need to pay everything back . So just want to make sure I have my bases covered

Thanks for any help

Asking for help for setting up a Rent to Own here in Ontario.

Any advice or guidance would be appreciated from members that have done some deals.

I have a home that has been reno'd and am actively seeking tenants for a rent to own.

Have questions as to what I can say and do as far as monthly credits and downpayment etc.

We've been investing for the last 13 years in solid buy and hold quality rentals in Ontario Canada

I'm wondering how we can protect ourselves from mini grow ops in our apartments once it becomes legal to grow 4 plants a year.
