Thanks, Bryan. Good to know. We'll keep speed in mind and be sure to have our ducks in a row so that we can act quickly when the right property comes across.

We actually started our REI journey in Worcester and got burnet out managing tenants, fairly quickly. We have a property manager for all our units now and wouldn't do it any other way. @Ann Bellamy is hosting a meetup in Worcester this month and I believe it might be beneficial for you. Hope to see you around and reach out with any questions.

Thanks, Enis! We are looking at Property Managers to help with managing tenants and the day-to-day - we are aligned there. Appreciate the heads up re: the meetup in Worcester and will try to make it.

Hello BP,

First off, thanks to everyone for your generosity in creating and publishing so much great content for us newbies to learn!

We joined back in September after being introduced to BP and Real Estate investing while on our honeymoon - thanks Martin and Josie Ruiz! My wife, Amanda, and I have been educating ourselves - reading suggested books, forums, blogs, while listening to the BP podcasts (we started from episode 1) every time we are in the car - ever since.

We currently live in Watertown, MA. I'm a sales consultant with NetSuite | Oracle and my wife is a financial adviser with Fidelity. We are looking to begin investing in Real Estate with a focus on buy and hold, 3-4 unit multi-family rental properties in the greater Worcester, MA area. The greater Boston area is a bit out of our price range but we are open to other suggestions for good areas to begin investing in New England.

Our goal is to build a 100 unit portfolio in the next 10 years. Eventually generating enough passive cash flow to potentially quit our day jobs, travel, enjoy family - maybe even coach my kids :-).

Currently working to build a team in the Central Mass area.

If you have any recommendations, guidance, or would like to connect in real life, please feel free to drop a line. We will be in Worcester next weekend beginning our search.

Looking forward to connecting. Best wishes,

Andrew and Amanda

A year later and this thread is still of huge value. Thank you, Marc, for taking the time to clearly explain. Much appreciated.
