I've been a digital nomad for over a year, and am now planning to get into real estate. (Sounds like we're coming in from opposite directions.) Let me know if you'd like to chat about the DN life, brainstorm how to make it work with real estate, or anything in between.

@Matt Berklacy Sounds like you have some good experience in the Jax market. Tampa is currently in my top 2, but am wondering if I should more heavily consider Jacksonville. The plan is to still take advantage of my digital nomadness yet actively build a real estate portfolio quickly. What are your thoughts?

Hi Nancy, what is NPO?

What happens to short term rentals in a recession?

Do people vacation less? Do they travel less? Are AirBnb's likely to remain empty if this recession hits? Would my cash flow severely decrease?

Does anyone have experience from the last recession?

Also originally from San Diego, I've been researching OOS markets and Pittsburgh is one of the top of my list. My decision isn't final yet, but it could very well be Pitt, and I'll be moving there too. (Get ready for the snow ;) ) Happy to share what else I learn when/if I move there, and maybe do some deals together in the future!
