Andrea,

Small local banks are best for real estate investing. They can act faster than big banks, and you usually deal with a decision maker. We use Malinie Staben at Union Bank on S 177th. She is great to work with and can set you up with constructions loans. She communicates very well and is on top of our account.

Being a novice, any advice on what to communicate to her about what I want to do: Buy and hold single family, duplex, triplex, 4plex

Ms. Andrea,

I mostly buy, fix, and sell. Once in a while, I come across rental properties, then I buy, fix, and rent. I attend REIA monthly meeting. It is a great meeting to connect with other investors in our area.
