It is a purchase, DSCR 1:1. I'm going to reach out to him and ask him how much more could he could put down, or another option is a private lender. I appreciate your help on this, EasyStreet is always my first go-to for our creative clients. :-)

Thanks for your response!  I'm not sure that this will be a viable option unless you happen to know of a work around?

Hi Robin,

I've been keeping an eye on Easy Street for our creative financing clients.  Do you have an update for this topic?  We have a client that needs SRO which looks like it didn't make it into your loans this year, but would love to add any new info to my list!

Thank you!

@Robin Simon Our AE with Easy Street was super helpful and informative! This home, unfortunately,  meets the criteria of log cabin because of the heat source but appreciate the long list of things Easy Street DOES allow.  I have y'all on speed dial now.  :-)

I appreciate your response!  Even if they can't, we definitely need more lenders who accept rural properties.  :-) And after speaking with another lender, it's confirmed a log cabin based on the heat source and their lending guideline.  This may end up being a no-go for the client.

Thanks for your help!

I work for a wholesale broker and have a client that is looking to purchase a short term rental in NC on approx 1 acre. The problem I keep running into is finding a lender who will allow a rural STR. We also need to confirm the build style but appears to be a log cabin. Borrower is very experienced with over 800+ credit score. Any suggestions?
