Hi Kyle, Having a great expediter is the key.. this person is the liaison bet DOB, your GC and your self. Got our permits in  3 months...we learned that usually takes 1-2 years to get permits. Hope that this helps... Ana What are you working on?

Hi Michael. I'm going to give you the short story :).. Basically had to go through Grandfather ordinance, Chief inspector for zoning, deal with easement of egress with next door building, fire sprinkler compliance, oil tank removal, electric, plumbing, etc... Our architect was convinced that it was going to take at least 1-2 years to get our permits...we got them under 3 months. Very important to have someone that can be the liaison (expediter) to get things done. The best person to speak to is my PM for the project manager. My name is Ana I'm new to this site. I'm an investor in Union City.  I currently own a 1 family and 2 family in Union City. I'm converting my 2 family into a 3 family. I got to say that it has not been an easy road, but here I'm looking for my next purchase.

Let me know if you still need a contractor. I can recommend my GC. Got the permits expedited in a very short time. Very familiar with Department of Buildings in Union City. 

I'm adding an apartment to my 2 family house in Union City.
