@Dulce Malvais firstly, it doesn't make sense to invest in my home state. When looking elsewhere, I chose Omaha because I have family in the area and generally just love Omaha. And prices seemed really good when I first started back in January, but I am having a bit of difficulty now finding good deals with the current market and my price points. But that's happening pretty much everywhere so I try not to get discouraged.

Hi @Dulce Malvais! I am not physically in Omaha, but it is my primary target to invest in. I'm happy to chat any time.

@Miguel Hernandez

Hi Miguel! I too am just starting my real estate journey as an investor in the Omaha area. I would love to be added to your list of potential buyers.

@Brandon Sturgill thanks Brandon! I'll shoot you a message. I haven't entirely ruled out Ohio from my list :)

@Rebecca Knox hi Rebecca! I've heard good things of the Brew City REI group. I'm particularly interested in the Sherman Park area and between Arlington and Lindsay Heights. The prices are amazing compares to my neck of the woods and look to be in decent condition. I'm also seeing that the city may offer help in rehabs, which I'm very interested in, although I will be calling them to get a better idea of what's involved. What's your experience with these areas?

@Brock Mogensen nice to meet you Brock! I'll be calling PM's today. Are there any you recommend? Why do you prefer tertiary areas?

@Brandon Sturgill thank you! I sure hope to do well. I've loved real estate my whole life and am finally in a good position to start diving in.

I chose Milwaukee for a couple reasons, but no personal connections. I quickly realized my local market is a dud for both properties and property management, and all the nearby states are very expensive and hot. I'm also interested in Omaha and Ohio (family in the regions), but after reading the forums for a couple weeks, Milwaukee started looking really good as a start point. So here I am, hoping to talk to some locals and get their take on it :)

Hello! My name is Amy. I am a structural engineer and a newbie OOS investor looking at the Milwaukee area. I'd love to make connections and build a wonderful team. Anybody have tips or tricks for this market? I may not be able to buy you a coffee these days, but as a former general contractor, I can swap renovation ideas and problem solving. Can't wait to hear from you!
