@Ahmed Saad Wow! You’re amazing! Thank you so so much for taking the time out to respond. You’re advice is extremely helpful and I would definitely like to connect with you!

@Anthony Lewis Thanks for the advice! I will definitely keep my eye open for deals on MLS and craigslist *crosses fingers*

@Anthony Lewis Thank you so much for taking the time out to respond. I truly appreciate it! I've heard the same about NY & NJ markets — maybe I will consider PA. Do you use MLS for your PA deals or another source?

I am a new investor from Brooklyn, NY where it is not the easiest to drive for dollars or put up bandit signs. My best bet is using the internet but I am unsure if I should use the MLS or regular sites such as Zillow, realitor or trulia. I have heard that those sites do not generate any deals. I would like for anyone who invests in NEW YORK or NEW JERSEY or PA to give some insight on any other sites or methods to use in order to find deals.

Thank you so much!

@Joseph Scorese Hi are there an upcoming meetings this year?

@Alina Trigub Thanks so much! You're awesome! I would love to come to a meet-up and network with you and other REI. And I definitely will work on furthering my research on the subject! I plan to begin with

Brandon Turner and Joshua Dorkin's "How to Invest in Real Estate: The Ultimate Beginner's Guide to Getting Started."

Thanks so much again for your help @Alina Trigub

@Pete Reed Thanks so much for your kind advice! Unfortunately I am on a tight budget. I am interested in NJ as well since the market seems to be cheaper than NYC. If you do know any hands off or turnkey opportunities -- I would love to know more as I am very new to this and would require some hand-holding. Also I hear that taxes for REI are terrible in NJ -- how is it working out for you?

Thanks so much again!

@Raymond Reyes Thank you so much for your suggestions! I will definitely look into properties further North. I currently do have a full time job 9-5 and I am wondering if it will be difficult to constantly travel 2 hours away to check on or visit the property -- or will this even be required? How did you maintain investing in a property that is 2 hours or more away? Did you have to travel back and forth a lot? Thanks again for your help!

@Account Closed Thank you so much for your response! Forgive me but I am unsure of what you mean by a REIT. Can you please explain the platforms or where to find these platforms that allows one with little money to invest in specific cities? Thanks so much for your help again!

@Brandon Turner What are the best markets nearby for a New Yorker and new investor that wants to invest out of state who’s salary is roughly $48,000/year?

Also which is the best real investing technique for this person w/ a $48,000/year salary?
