Post: Buying an auctioned home

I have been watching a couple auctions online near me and was curious if it is smart to buy a home from an auction with private lender money, and selling the home after purchase.

Is this worth it or smart? Or should I just drive for dollars and find a home to wholesale that way?

I am so ready to begin my next steps into investing! I just finished my real estate coursework, scheduling my test soon, and done tons and tons of research on wholesaling, investing, buying/selling, etc. I would love to have a mentor (or a bunch of virtual mentors LOL).

I just would like someone to give me their tips and tricks on starting out wholesaling:

-find a property

-contact the home owner

-make a contract (but how, where do I find the contract)

-where do I go from closing the deal?

@Jake Alger thank you Jake. I have been doing research for months to find the right brokerage. I would love to connect & ask a ton of questions.

@Brian Sturgeon does buying the home through an auction depend on credit as well? What would you recommend to doing the same thing you did?

@Matt "Roar" Gardner thank you for sharing. This is awesome.

Did you work in any real estate or anything before this? Would you recommend flipping for newbies in real estate? I want to start in WA just unsure how to find an investor.

@Jenifer Salter thank you for your story. I am excited, did it take you long to receive an income? Thatā€™s the only part Iā€™m nervous about other then that Iā€™ve been working in Property Management for 4+ years so I know can sell an apartment itā€™s just diving in. Lol

Hello,

My name is Amia. I am currently enrolled and finishing up my RE course. I have done tons and tons of research on first year in RE, working full or part time, etc. I have a couple questions if anyone could help me out:

- Would you recommend to start out full or part time?

- How do you know which brokerage to start out with?

- Any tips for your 1st year as a realtor?

Thanks a ton!
