First, I just want to say how much I love Bigger Pockets! Y’all are great. Hopefully my first post isn’t premature, but I’m just wondering if I’m thinking in the right direction:

Been reading a lot about real estate investing, and plenty of family involved in real estate. I have my associates degree in accounting, and currently getting my real estate license. My work history/ experience is all in middle management. What can I do with this combo to help me get to my goals?

My goals are to:

-work for myself

-earn 6 figures through real estate investing

-own a business (related to real estate or not)

I realize I might have to work for others initially, and I'm not afraid to put in the work. My initial investments will be in purchasing my grandma's house on a note, and holding with a renter in it, and utilizing my first time home buyers advantage on a home with an ADU to help help pay mortgage. From here, I know I'll have to get creative with raising cash for down payments. Property conversions, contract flipping, renovation, and owning/managing college housing or corporate housing interests me most.

Any advice is much appreciated!!!
